glisten white

Pillows of snow

Sun reflecting 
tiny crystals of light

frozen in stillness


II.

Snow melts
beneath 
a steady  drizzle

Rivulets run down the street

Cars splash by
sending muddy  water
airborne

III.

Olive moss gleams
on 
greybrown bark

patches of snow
seen 
through fog

dark grass
a hint of green

IV.

Bright blue sky

splashes of clouds fly 
on the edges 
of a breeze

stark branches
with swelling nubbins
soon to be leaves
