Free Patterns for Frugal Quilters
Some Depression era quilt makers made do with drawing a pattern from a photo found in a borrowed magazine. Beautiful quilts were made based on nothing more than a picture.
Today many free patterns are found on the Internet. Here I have several free patterns to share with you. These are quilt patterns I've designed as examples of various times in history. Thank goodness I don't have to create the quilt pattern from a picture, we have quilt design software today! Click on any picture below and it will take you to the pattern.

The first two patterns were made for my article, The Power of Women's Temperance Movement Quilts. The Sun Bonnet Sue Miss Muffet was made as part of a challenge. We were to make a small quilt based on a nursery rhyme.
