Quilt of Belonging: Canada's Celebration of Diversity

A most ambitious quilt measuring 36 meters by 3.5 meters (120 feet by 10 feet)is about to go on tour in Canada. The vision in embarking on this grand quilts was "to create a collaborative work of art that will recognize Canada's diversity, celebrate our common humanity and promote harmony and compassion among people." It appears the project was very successful as the quilt includes textile art from most aboriginal and world nationalities in Canada.
