Tuesday, October 10, 2006 She Made Her Mark - A Juried Fiberarts ExhibitHow would you like to have an art quilt you've made displayed in the Quilters Hall of Fame? The Fiber Connection of Southern California announces a curated quilt exhibition, titled "She Made Her Mark", to be shown at the Quilters Hall Of Fame, Marion, Indiana. This exhibition will open March 1 and run through June 25, 2007. The curator, Thelma Smith., explains that the quilt can be made in honor of a famous women or one that is unknown. She states, "Whether we choose to work symbolically, abstractly, or representationally, we should strive to convey the impact and the passion of women, the world over through all time."
